Final daycare billing for June was sent home Monday. We have quite a few unpaid balances from daycare, lunch and miscellaneous items. As we close out another successful school year, we will be saying good-bye to third grade teacher Martha Godwin and Vice-Principal, Betty Castaneda who are retiring. Art teacher Gopika Parikh is returning to India, and teaching assistants Chelsea Dean and Illona Jurado are going to school and assisting with family matters respectively. Scrip orders are in and available for pickup Wednesday at the Scrip table or in the office during office hours. We have a variety of cards on hand for immediate purchase along with Teacher/Staff Wish List and gift cardholders for $0.50 each. Stop by the Scrip table Wednesday morning starting at 7:30 to make your selections. Scrip/Gift Cards will be available in the office for purchase during the summer. Family Commitment Hours For 2010-2011
If you would like to get a head start on your family commitment hours for 2010-2011 you can help out at registration in August. The dates are Aug 19th - Aug 27th. Please sign up in the school office.St. Mark's Sports Camps
There is still time to sign up for the Volleyball Camp for incoming 5th-8th graders June 21-July 2nd 7:00 - 8:30 AM cost is $65.00. Basketball Camp will be for incoming 6th - 8th graders June 21st - July 2nd from 4:00 - 5:30 PM cost is $65.00.Cooking For Kids
A hands on learning environment for kids from 3rd-7th grade. Learn how to make kid friendly meals for your family and finish the session with a recipe folder you can add on to. In addition you will learn: Knife, small appliance, stove and oven safety, kitchen measurements, cooking and baking terms, raw meat/poultry handling and time saving short-cuts. August 23-27 from 9:00-12:00 @ St. Mark's in the Fireside Room. Cost is $150.00 per student. The Instructor is certified in CPR and First Aid. Know the Difference between a Cold and H1N1 Flu Symptoms

| Fever is rare | Temperatures of 100 F or higher for 3 to 4 days |
| A hacking (mucus-producing) cough is often present | A dry cough is usually present |
| Slight body aches and pains | Severe aches and pains |
| Stuffy nose is commonly present and typically resolves spontaneously within a week | Stuffy nose is not commonly present |
| Chills are uncommon | Chills occur in 60% of cases |
| Tiredness is fairly mild | Tiredness is moderate to severe |
| Sneezing is common | Sneezing is not common |
| Symptoms tend to develop over a few days | Rapid onset within 3-6 hours with sudden symptoms of high fever - muscle aches - shortness of breath - tight chest |
| Headaches are fairly mild | Headache occur in 80% of cases |
| Sore throat is commonly present | Sore throat is not commonly present |
| Chest discomfort is mild to moderate | Chest discomfort is often severe |
