This month we are learning about love for Jesus, for our families, our neighbors, and for ourselves.

 Pretzel Rod Fundraiser –

Read your fundraising handout to see prizes for Top Sellers. Help your child’s teacher win $50.00 cash.  We ask that each child sell at least one container of pretzel rods. Your support with school fundraisers enables us to improve the quality of your child’s preschool.  The profits from our fundraiser will be used to purchase new playground toys, and classroom items. Each child that sells three or more pretzel containers will be enter into a drawing to win $30 in Scholastic Books.

Valentine cards will be exchanged in the classrooms. Each child should bring their cards with their name on them so that others will know whom they are from. Check with your child’s teacher so you will know how many Valentines to bring.  Please do not put names of who they are for – it makes it too difficult for the children to hand out.  Those children who come to school on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays can come to school on Thursday, February 14thinstead of Wednesday, February 13thto join in the activities.  Contact your child’s teacher to make arrangements.

Please sign-up to bring goodies for your child’s Valentine’s party, watch for the party sign-up sheet in your child’s classroom. ALL CLASSES will have parties on Thursday , February 14th.

This year our Kindergarten Information Day will be on Thursday, February 14th12:00-2:00P.M. Lunch will be served followed by a presentation of the curriculum and a tour of the classrooms. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our kindergarten classes here at St. Mark’s and meet the kindergarten teachers. Please take this opportunity to see the St. Mark’s difference for yourself. Please call the front office to R.S.V.P.

Chinese New Year marks the beginning of a new cycle of life and symbolizes the end of winter and the beginning of spring.  We will have our Lion Dance and Marital arts performance on Friday, February 8that 11:00am.  Parents are welcome to join us.  We will have a special lunch for Chinese New Year as well on Friday, February 8th.

Registration for Fall begins February 12thfor our St. Mark’s Families.  You will be receiving re-enrollment information and forms in your child’s cubbie. Please fill out these forms and turn them in as soon as possible. If you have multiple children all forms need to be turned in together otherwise they go into the pending file and your child is not enrolledat that time. Requests for next year’s teachers will be taken first come first serve as enrollment forms are turned in.   Please write the teacher’s name in the top right hand corner if you are requesting. When a teacher reaches twelve requests that class will be closed. Any questions call the school office at (626) 968-0428 and ask to speak to Mrs. Muñoz. Enrollment for the public will open February 27th. Please understand that if you do not turn in your enrollment forms by February 26th4:00PM it is very likely that we will not have room for your child. A new child will have taken your child’s place. By law we can only have so many students so I will not be able to do anything.  So please enroll right away.
