TUITION

October tuition is now past due. A $15 late fee has been added to all late payments.  We accept checks, cash and online bill pay through your bank.

FALL CONFERENCES WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15TH FROM 12:30 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. AND FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16TH FROM 12:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M.

Kindergarten through 4th grade teachers will be emailing all parents of their students to schedule your conference times. Please look for this email and respond promptly to request your times.

 

5th through 8th grade teachers will only be requesting conferences for students whom they believe a conference is necessary.  If you have not received an email from your child’s teacher by now, but would like to request a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher directly and they will schedule a time for you to meet. 

 

All conferences will be held remotely through Teams.  Once your child’s teacher has confirmed your meeting time, they will give you further instructions on how you will be able to join the meeting using your child’s Microsoft Teams account.

SCHOOL SPELLING BEE DATE CHANGE

Our School Spelling Bee previously scheduled for January 14, 2021 has been rescheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021. The Saturday competition in the school Gym is for the top five spellers in the 4th through 8th Grades. The attendees are limited to the 25 participants, the judges, and a limited number of family members. Should the regional Scripps Spelling Bee take place in March 2021, the winner and his/her family will make the decision as to whether or not to attend that event.

LION’S LEARNING DEN / TECHNOLOGY QUESTIONS

Parents, we realize there will be questions about live stream learning for your children. Please contact us at itsupport@stmarks.ws if you have technology-related questions. Please include your name and your child’s name and grade. You may have questions about logging in, connections, or joining a meeting. Connecting directly with our IT Support Team will streamline the process for you. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this new platform together.

PINK DAY FOR BREAST CANCER

We are hoping to have all Staff and Students participate on the 21st by 

wearing their pink shirts. Also attached is the flier you can print out

if you plan of participating in the Virtual Walk.

MANDATORY SCRIP

Get your Scrip now!!!! Take a look at the new order form in the attachments. You may now purchase / order Panda Express, Little Caesars, H&M, The Container Store, and Cost Plus World Market.  Remember, the holidays are rapidly approaching. Please note that you may continue to buy scrip for some of the major department stores such as JC Penney and Kohl’s. But, due to the nature of the retail climate, we are not keeping these cards in stock. Please allow enough time for the order of these particular cards to be delivered. CHAPEL OFFERING

Even though we are not together on campus, we can still be one heart when it comes to the charities St. Mark's supports: Lutheran Social Services, Child Fund Philippines, Navajo Lutheran Missions and our local Action Food Pantry.  Offering envelopes were given out at registration for each student.  Consider participating in giving to these worthy organizations.  You may bring your offering to the School Office, mail it in, or bring it with you when you pay tuition.  Thank you for your support in advance.

PICTURE DAY HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED

Our K - 8th Picture Day has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Please delete the 9/15/2020 date on your calendars.

6TH GRADE EL CAMINO PINES FIELD TRIP

Due to COVID, our 6th grade El Camino Pines Field trip has been postponed to February, 22–26, 2021.

CUB SCOUTS FOR GRADES K-5

This year, we are unable to host our annual High School Information Night for our junior high students. As high schools contact us regarding their virtual tours, their application process and respective due dates, we will relay that information to you in our weekly Family Newsletter. We encourage you to take a look at these schools to get a broader idea on your high school options. Please contact these schools directly.
