8TH GRADERS ONLY: 2020 AMC 8 (AMERICAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITIONS)
Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 9:00 A.M. This competition is open to all 8th graders, but you must sign up to participate. It will be held on the SML campus, using school iPads on an online competition platform. (location/classroom TBD). To sign up, a parent must notify Mr. Ossa via email to let him know that your child will be participating ASAP/by this Friday, October 23. (Please cc Ms. Lee)

SCHOOL SPELLING BEE DATE CHANGE
Our School Spelling Bee previously scheduled for January 14, 2021 has been rescheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021. The Saturday competition in the school Gym is for the top five spellers in the 4th through 8th Grades. The attendees are limited to the 25 participants, the judges, and a limited number of family members. Should the regional Scripps Spelling Bee take place in March 2021, the winner and his/her family will make the decision as to whether or not to attend that event.
