SCHOOL IS CLOSED TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2020
On Veterans Day - November 11th, school is closed.
The holidays are rapidly approaching! We currently are carrying the smaller denomination scrip in Starbuck’s - $5, Target - $10 and Walmart - $10. These make for great stocking stuffers, a nice gesture for your mail carrier or a treat for your neighbor. Reminder: Items that are not in stock take up to two weeks to order. Please keep that in mind as you plan for the holidays. Please email your orders and any Scrip needs to email@example.com Thank you for your support of our Scrip program.
“GIVING THANKS” NOVEMBER FOOD DRIVE
This year our annual “Giving Thanks” November Food Drive will be collected differently. Since students are not on campus, there will be a truck from the Food Pantry this Saturday, November 14th between 11:00 a.m - 12:30 p.m. to collect your donations in the main parking lot at St. Mark’s. Dr. Clark, Pastor Jim and several staff members will be on hand to help take your donations and say “Hi”.
You may also drop off food items on Thursday and Friday, November 12th and 13th in front parking lot, next to the turtle by the walk way.
Canned green beans (NOT French cut) are needed for Thanksgiving baskets. 600 cans are needed. We have so far collected over 400. Other items needed are 1-lb. bags of white rice and 1-lb. bags of pinto beans that will be used for the Christmas baskets. Always needed are canned meat, soup, beans, boxed meals, cereal, peanut butter etc. Please remember no expired dates or glass jars. Baby diapers (various sizes) and baby wipes are also needed.
During November and December, monetary donations are collected so that the Food Bank can provide a Christmas basket for needy families.
If you can’t make the food drive you may donate by check made out to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Please note “Christmas food baskets”.
Online donations may be made at:
Thank you for your generosity.
