TUITION

December tuition is now past due. A $15 late fee has been added to all late payments. We accept checks, cash and online bill pay through your bank.

 

FAMILIES OF K-2 STUDENTS WHO TRAVEL OVER THE HOLIDAYS

All families who decide to travel out of the State during the Christmas break must notify the School Office of

your travel plans. All students who travel will need to quarantine for ten (10) days prior to returning to campus from the date of arrival back in California.

Wednesday, December 16, 2020:  NO LIVE STREAM LEARNING

-  School Office closes at 12:00 PM

Thursday, December 17, 2020 – Friday, January 1, 2021 School will be closed

Classes will resume on Monday, January 4, 2021

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2020 – OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE FROM 9:00 – 11:00 A.M.

Please join us in the school parking lot for a Drive Through Christmas Toy Drive. We ask for new unwrapped Christmas toys. All St. Mark’s teachers will be in the front of the school to assist with taking your donations as you stay in your car and please remain masked. The Knights of Columbus from our neighborhood St. John Vianney Church will be here to collect the toys for children in need. Our St. Mark’s families have been generous each year and your generosity allows the Knights of Columbus to brighten the lives of many children in the local areas. Thank you.

 

HIGH SCHOOL RECOMMENDATIONS

All High School recommendations and Transcript requests must be submitted directly to the School Office. Please DO NOT contact the teachers directly. Please allow a two week lead time to process. You can email requests to Traci Navarro tnavarro@stmarks.ws. Thank you for your cooperation.

 

7TH GRADE CATALINA MEETING

The 7th Grade Catalina Trip Meeting scheduled for January 12th has been postponed; date and time to be

5TH GRADE SACRAMENTO/SAN FRANCISCO TRIP

Dear 5th Grade Parents/Guardians, We are excited to announce our 5th grade trip to Sacramento/San Francisco that will take place on Thursday, May 13 – Friday, May 14, 2021.  St. Mark’s has partnered with WorldStrides. 6TH GRADE EL CAMINO PINES FIELD TRIP

Due to COVID, our 6th grade El Camino Pines Field trip has been postponed to February 22–26, 2021.

 

SCHOOL SPELLING BEE DATE CHANGE

Our School Spelling Bee previously scheduled for January 14, 2021 has been rescheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021. The Saturday competition in the school Gym is for the top five spellers in each of the 4th through 8th Grades. The attendees are limited to the 25 participants, the judges, and a limited number of family members. Should the regional Scripps Spelling Bee take place in March 2021, the winner and his/her family will make the decision as to whether or not to attend that event.

 

LION’S LEARNING DEN / TECHNOLOGY QUESTIONS

Parents, we realize there will be questions about live stream learning for your children. Please contact us at itsupport@stmarks.ws if you have technology-related questions. Please include your name and your child’s name and grade. You may have questions about logging in, connections, or joining a meeting. SML CHURCH CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE AND GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Christmas Schedule

Christmas Eve, December 24th 4:00 p.m.

The Nativity of our Lord

Communion Candlelight in person on the patio.

The second service at 7:00 p.m. will be live streamed only

 

We welcome all to our Christmas Eve worship services. The 4:00 p.m. service is our Family Focused Service. Please join us on the Patio in front of the Nesheim Hall. We will present “The Real Christmas Story” in a storybook reading style along with Christmas carol singing, special music from a few of our children, and a special candle lighting. We will sit 6 feet apart and you may bring your own chair although we have extras. All attendees are required to wear a mask throughout the service and while on campus. Please note that our second service at 7:00 p.m. will be live streamed only.

St. Mark's Church and Pastor Jim invite you to outside patio services every Sunday in December at 9:00 a.m. (services will continue to be held outside until further notice). Everyone observes social distancing. Please bring your own chair and a face mask 😷.
