We have opened enrollment to the public. Please enroll at St. Mark’s Lutheran School before our classes are full. If you have questions, please call our School Office (626) 968-0428.

 

SUMMER SCHOOL ENROLLMENT

We have opened enrollment to the public for 2021 Summer School. Attached are the enrollment forms and the calendar of activities for Session I.  (Session II will be sent out at a later date.)

Please download the application attached to this e-mail, complete the form, and drop it off with payment at the School Office.  ALL TUITION FEES ARE DUE MAY 7th  FOR SESSION I.

5th- 7th grades:           Tuesday, May 18th  (12:15 P.M. - 2:00 P.M.) Fireside Room

K-4th grades:              Wednesday, May 19th (2:30 P.M.- 4:00 P.M.) Fireside Room

iPad and case should be cleaned before turned in

Place charger/cable in a Ziplock bag with student name

Please include iPad Checklist in the Ziplock bag and note any issues you have experienced for Tech Team to review.

8th grade Baccalaureate:  Sunday, May 16th @ 10:00 A.M.

Students will arrive at 9:00 A.M. (Gym)

NO 8th grade Awards Night (this will be incorporated into Graduation)

8th grade Graduation practice: Wednesday, May 19th: 10:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. (Gym)

8th grade Graduation:  Wednesday, May 19th @ 6:00 P.M.

Students will arrive at 5:00 P.M. (Gym)

 

5th-7th grade FINALS on Monday, May 17th and 18th

Both days will be HALF days for all 5th-7th grade students

SML MOVIE NIGHT SUCCESS

Thank you to all the families and volunteers who helped make SML Movie Night a success.  We'd also like to thank Hacienda Pizza Co. and everyone for the generous donations for the Senior High Mission Trip to Alamosa, Colorado.  If time allows, we'd like to plan another Movie Night at the end of May. Stay tuned for details. 

 

5TH GRADE SACRAMENTO/SAN FRANCISCO FIELD TRIP

REMINDER ABOUT OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINES & PRESCRIPTIONS

As stated in the SML Parent Handbook, “Medications to be administered at school must be accompanied by a medical authorization form (available at school office).”

Any medication to be administered at school must be in the original prescription container with the student’s name and instructions clearly marked by a pharmacist or a doctor.  At no time should a student have any kind of medicine in his/her possession, desk, cubby or locker.  This includes over the counter medications. TRAVEL ADVISORY AND GUIDANCE (UPDATED 4/05/2021)

The County of Los Angeles is issuing the following guidance for travelers and shall apply prospectively from April 5, 2021. Non-essential travel out-of-state or out-of-country is still not recommended. All non-essential travelers who are not fully vaccinated arriving in or returning to California from other countries must quarantine as described below.

All non-essential travelers who are not fully vaccinated arriving in or returning to the County of Los Angeles from other countries must:

  • Quarantine 7 full days after travel if they get tested and get a negative COVID-19 viral test result from a specimen collected 3-5 days after their arrival.
  • Quarantine 10 full days after travel if they did NOT get tested with a COVID-19 viral test after their arrival.

 

STUDENTS’ FACE SHIELDS AND MASKS

Just a friendly reminder to please send your children to school with an extra face shield and an extra face mask.  We have face masks available in the School Office for $2.00 each and face shields are $5.00 each.  Thank you.

 

TAX LETTERS/FLEX SPENDING

If you will need a summary of fees for tax purposes or for your flex spending account, please be sure to call the School Office or e-mail Ms. Tammy at tperez@stmarks.ws.  If you are e-mailing, please include your student's name and whether you want the letter mailed or e-mailed.  Please allow up to two (2) weeks for the letter to be completed.

HIGH SCHOOL RECOMMENDATION REQUESTS

All High School recommendations and Transcript requests must be submitted directly to the School Office. Please DO NOT contact the teachers directly. Please allow a two-week lead time to process. You can email requests to Traci Navarro tnavarro@stmarks.ws. Thank you for your cooperation.
