SEPTEMBER TUITION

September tuition is due September 1st.  You will have through Friday, September 10th to pay tuition.  On Monday, September 13th, a $15.00 late fee will be charged.  We accept checks, cash and online bill pay through your bank.

If you are considering paying your tuition in full for the school year to receive the 2% discount, the final date to do so would be Friday, September 10, 2021.

 

8TH GRADE CATALINA TRIP MEETING 

An informational meeting regarding the 8th Grade Catalina trip will be held on the lunch tables outside by Scott Hall TONIGHT August 31, 2021 at 6:00 PM. This meeting is only for those parents who have previously committed to sending an 8th Grader on the November 17-19 trip. It will include an overview of the activities at camp, COVID-19 Protocols for all campers, and necessary paperwork. Any parent interested in being a chaperone must attend this meeting.

 

NO SCHOOL – MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH  LABOR DAY

St. Mark’s Parents/Guardians there will be no school or daycare on Monday, September 6th. Have a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend.

 

 

TRAVEL GUIDELINES FOR UNVACCINATED INDIVIDUALS

Upon return from international travel ONLY, we ask that you have your child tested for COVID-19.  If you provide St. Mark’s with the student’s negative test result, the student may return immediately to school.  If you choose to not have your child tested, the student is required to quarantine at home for seven (7) days from the date of arrival back into the United States.

 

SCHOOL LUNCH PRICING

School Lunches may be purchased at the School Office.

K – 4th Grade prices are: 20 lunches for $75.00; and a semester lunch ticket for $300.00

5th – 8th Grade prices are: 20 lunches for $80.00; and a semester lunch card for $320.00

 

LATE DELIVERY OF  LUNCHES,  HOMEWORK,  AND P.E. CLOTHES

We have a “Drop Off / Pick Up Table” located outside of the School Office. If you are bringing a lunch to school for your student after school has started, please clearly write your child’s name on the lunch and leave it on the Drop Off / Pick Up Table. You may not take the lunch or any other item directly to the student’s classroom. Teachers will direct students to check the table outside of the Office if they are expecting their lunch to be dropped off. Parents may also drop off  P.E. clothes and forgotten homework or textbooks. Again, please ensure that the items are clearly marked with the student’s name.

 

SCRIP- WELCOME BACK!

We are up and running! Stop by the Scrip Room (Room 6) to see what’s new and exciting! The Scrip room is open Monday-Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Scrip order forms are available in the School Office. If you have any questions or need help with the ins and outs of the program, please stop by and Traci Navarro will be happy to help. Thank you.

 

8TH GRADE POPSICLE FUNDRAISER - NOW THROUGH OCTOBER 22ND

We are back! Come grab a treat and beat the heat, help support our 8th graders. Snacks and Ice cream for sale by the Fellowship Hall and by the upper blacktop tables. From 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday from now through October 22nd. Roar on Lions!

 

CUB SCOUTS AND BOY SCOUTS

CHAPEL OFFERING

Every Wednesday, a chapel offering is collected.  Our chapel offerings is used to support Lutheran Social Services, Navajo Lutheran Missions, Child Fund Philippines, and our local Action Food Pantry. Offering envelopes for the year were passed out at registration. If you did not receive a set, please ask in the School Office. The offering will be collected Wednesdays during chapel.  Please consider contributing to these worthy causes through supporting our weekly chapel offering.  Thank you.

 

ST. MARK’S CHILDREN’S CHOIRS

St. Mark’s Children’s Choirs under the direction of Ms. Karla Devine.

Pre-K—Kindergarten 4:15 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. at the Preschool
1st– 4th grades 3:15 p.m.  - 4:00 p.m. in Ms. Williams’ room
5th—8th grades 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. in Ms. Williams’ room

The children will learn hymns, parts of the liturgy, anthems, and accompaniments on percussion 
instruments. We’ll work on creating a beautiful sound with good diction, some music-reading skills, and how to read a hymn in the hymnal. 

 

The choirs will sing approximately once per month during Sunday worship at 9:00 AM.

SML CHURCH HAPPENINGS

SML Church ongoing information

Worship is at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary on Sundays and online via Livestream or on demand.  All are Welcome!  Masks are required for all people inside the building (those actively leading may remove when speaking/singing but will maintain social distance). Sunday School - Every Sunday, children start in worship and then go to class following the children's sermon or before the Message.  Children are to be picked up from the class which is located beneath the Sanctuary on the lower patio outside Church Office.

 

Confirmation Informational Meeting. The meeting previously scheduled for 8/18/2021 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the side Chapel.
