Tuition paid on November 11th, or later, will be charged a $15.00 late payment fee.

thank you

We sincerely thank you for supporting the St. Mark’s 33rd Auction. We raised over $65,000 through your Registration ticket purchases, the sales from the Auction packages, sponsorships, and monetary donations. Our Auction is a joint effort with you, the Booster Club parents, our supporters which include current SML families, SML alumni parents and alumni, our teachers, and our community sponsors.

Our Booster Club President, and Auction Chairperson, Winnie Lim Takesue, has dedicated four years to running the Auction. This year, Winnie chaired the Auction by herself and spent countless hours organizing our second Auction within one calendar year. Our Auctions are successful due to Winnie’s desire to support St. Mark’s fundraising efforts.

We also thank Tanya Yee, the Room Parent Coordinator, for organizing the Room Parents and guiding them through the volunteer process. The Classroom donations arrived at school due to Tanya’s efforts.

If you watched our Video on the Auction website, please know that our SML teachers wrote and directed the Video. The Creative Content Team for the Video includes Ms. Parminter, Ms. Williams, and Ms. Wampler. They expertly pulled together a second Video this year to enhance the virtual Auction. The Creative Content Team worked in concert with Robert Gil who professionally produced – and narrated – our Video. We hope everyone enjoyed the heartfelt tributes to Dr. Barbara Clark.

Again … thank you for generously supporting St. Mark’s Lutheran School.

“GIVING THANKS” FOOD DRIVE – THANK YOU!

A Heartfelt Thank You

SML families are the best! You are so thoughtful and generous. Together with the church we, had over 800 cans of green beans donated along with cereal, canned meat, pasta, sauces, canned fruit and veggies. The food pantry will use the extra green beans to help fill food boxes for several weeks.

Thank you to Dr. Clark and Ms. Birtja for helping us collect. Thanks to Ms. Munoz and Pastor Jim for helping us load the food onto the food bank truck.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION IN SCHOOLOGY

We have received information from many high schools that usually attend our annual High School Information Night. All the information received is constantly updated in the SML Schoology Parent Group. Currently, sixteen high schools have provided important and timely information with deadlines and requirements.

Please check for updates through Schoology in the “Parent Group”. When you are logged in, locate the "Resource" link on the left.  You will find the High School Information folder there. We strongly encourage you to check it weekly for new school information and important deadlines that have been posted. Selecting the best high school for your 8th Grader is an important decision. Please research all that these high schools offer and contact the schools directly.

LATE DELIVERY OF  LUNCHES,  HOMEWORK,  AND P.E. CLOTHES

To minimize classroom interruptions for your children, we ask that all forgotten lunches, books and homework are left at the “Drop off/Pick up Table.” It is the student’s responsibility to check this table as we do not call students down to the School Office.

We remind all parents that fast food lunches and snacks may not be purchased and dropped off for students. Please see page 18 of our Parent Handbook.

TRAVEL GUIDELINES FOR UNVACCINATED INDIVIDUALS

travel

Upon return from international travel ONLY, we ask that you have your child tested for COVID-19.  If you provide St. Mark’s with the student’s negative test result, the student may return immediately to school.  If you choose to not have your child tested, the student is required to quarantine at home for seven (7) days from the date of arrival back into the United States.

CHAPEL OFFERING

Every Wednesday, a chapel offering is collected.  Our chapel offerings are used to support Lutheran Social Services, Navajo Lutheran Missions, Child Fund Philippines, and our local Action Food Pantry.
