DECEMBER TUITION

December tuition is now due. You will have until Monday, December 10th to pay without a late fee.
A $15 late fee will be added to all accounts on December 11th.
We accept checks, cash and online billpay.

2ND SEMESTER LUNCH CARDS

When we return to school after our Christmas break, we will start our 2nd semester. If you are planning on buying a 2nd semester lunch ticket for your child, please purchase it before we leave for Christmas break. This will ensure that your child will have a lunch ticket the first day we are back. K-4th is $300 and 5th- 8th is $320.

BOOSTER CLUB MEETING THIS THURSDAY

Our next Booster Meeting is this Thursday, 12/6 at 8:30 AM. Get a school update on what's happening at
St. Mark's, while you enjoy coffee and morning pastries. You may also purchase low-cost, Gently-Used Uniforms at the meeting. Each Parent will receive one Family Commitment hour for attending.

HOLIDAY SCRIP AVAILABLE NOW!

Please stop by the Scrip Room and check out our gift cards for the holidays. The Starbucks, Target, and Wal-Mart lower denomination cards are now in stock. Are you doing some extra grocery shopping for the upcoming holidays? Now is the time to buy our grocery gift cards. We also have Honey Baked Ham scrip. Scrip always makes a great gift and we have plenty of scrip gift giving ideas. Stop by our Scrip Room in the morning or drop off your order with a payment in the School Office. This is a great opportunity to buy gifts, take care of household needs, and reduce your Scrip obligation at the same time!

CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE FOR LOCAL CHILDREN - A COMMUNITY EFFORT

St. Mark’s is once again joining forces with St. John Vianney Church and their Knights of Columbus organization to bring many toys to local area children. Students and staff who bring in one brand new and unwrapped toy on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 are entitled to relaxed dress on that day. We can spread much goodwill and happiness with our toy donations. Make it a family effort to pick out special toys for local children in need. Our staff members also join in on the fun of donating toys so please consider a donation that will really make you feel good about our world. Thank You!!

MOVIE NIGHT ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14th - 8th GRADE FUNDRAISER EVENT

SML Parents! This is your chance to plan a date or shopping night. Yes, we will watch your children for you from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the school Gym. The fee is the very reasonable price of $12.00 (presale) or $15 at the door. The ticket price includes dinner (hot dog, popcorn, and a drink). All you have to do is purchase the tickets for your SML student ahead of time by December 13th, Only SML students may attend Movie Night. We encourage you to bring a blanket, bean bag, or pillow to be comfortable in the Gym. Please also bring money for the Snack Shack because it will be open for Movie Night. We will show the “Christmas Chronicles,” a new Netflix movie. And, we’ll also have Fortnight dance competition during the evening. Tickets on sale in front of the Fireside Room.

DRAMA CLOTHING ORDER FORM

You can now Pre-Order your “Addams Family” T- shirts, sweatshirts and bags. There is an order form attached.
Deadline to Pre-Order is December 14th.

CHRISTMAS DRESS WEEK

Dr. Clark has given permission for the students to wear Christmas shirts and sweatshirts beginning next Thursday, December 13th. This is not a relaxed dress week, it is only for Christmas wear.
Only on Wednesday, December 19th students may wear Christmas inspired hats.

DRESS CODE REMINDERS

Parents and Students, please be mindful of our dress code regarding pants, sweatshirts, and jackets. Here are the codes and page numbers for reference.
Pants, #2, Page 19: “Sweats or any other type of athletic pants are not permitted. This includes relaxed dress days also.”
Sweatshirts, Page 20: “All sweatshirts and sweaters must have the SML logo on them. Drama, El Camino Pines and Catalina trips and school team or activity sweatshirts that the advisor has approved by the principal in advance may be worn.”
Jackets, Page 20. Jackets worn to school must be either SML jackets or a PLAIN red, white, blue or gray color. A jacket is defined as “outerwear” that must be removed upon entrance to the classroom. On rainy days, students may wear raincoats.

DAY CARE RATES FOR MINIMUM DAYS and CHRISTMAS BREAK

The Day Care rate will be $20 for students remaining at school on a minimum day schedule regardless of the time that the student is picked up. This rate is charged only for those students who are not on the monthly, prepaid Day Care rate. There is a “15 minute” grace period before your child will be checked into daycare all days and on either of the early dismissal times of 11:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m.
Christmas Break day care rates for individual daily use is $40 per day per child.

8TH GRADE HIGH SCHOOL RECOMMENDATIONS

SML High School recommendation forms are available in the school office. There is a $5.00 processing fee that is due with the completed form and any forms the high school needs. Please allow 2 weeks for this process because our teachers need time to write their recommendations and we need to get them in the mail to the high schools in a timely manner.

MEDICAL NOTES

If your child brings a medical note from either a parent or physician restricting them from P.E. or sports it is very important that students bring the note to the Office first thing in the morning. It is important for the Office to know if there are health issues at the beginning of the school day.

7th GRADE PARENTS: CATALINA TRIP MEETINGS

Thursday, January 10th in Ms. Curtis’ classroom 7:15 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. Both of the meetings will cover the same material. Any parent interested in being a chaperone must attend the meeting.
