IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR PARENTS OF PRESCHOOL AGED STUDENTS
Beginning February 12th and through February 26, 2019, current preschoolers may be re-enrolled for the 2019- 2020 school year. If you have a child ready to start preschool, enrollment begins February 12th. As of February 27th, we will fill any available preschool spaces with new incoming students. In the past, we have been at capacity by the end of the school year (May 2019) or earlier. Our goal is to give top priority to siblings of current students. To ensure that your child may attend SML Preschool, we strongly encourage you to enroll in a timely manner before we open the enrollment to the public.

"The Addams Family" t-shirts, sweatshirts, and tote bags are now available to purchase! Various sizes are available, but hurry to get one before your size sells out. You may purchase a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or tote bag before and after school in front of the Fireside Room or in the office. Ensure that your child can participate in the drama classroom competition on Wednesday, March 27, where we'll see which class has the highest percentage of students wearing "The Addams Family" t-shirts and sweatshirts. The K-4th and 5th-8th classes with the most participation will win front row seats for the matinee shows on Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 28. ST. MARK'S TEACHER AND STAFF TEA
Our annual teacher and staff appreciation luncheon to thank our teachers and staff for all their hard work throughout the year is coming up on MONDAY, MARCH 4th, 2019 at 11:30 a.m! We need help from our St. Mark's families to make this event a success. Please sign up to volunteer your time and your delicious food donations for the upcoming Teachers' Tea and show your appreciation for all that they do for our children, our families, and the St. Mark's community. We are looking for parent and/or family member volunteers to help with set-up, food service, playground supervision and clean-up, as well as food donations. This is an excellent way to get those last few family commitment hours before the April 30 deadline. This year, auditions for the May 2019 Talent Show will be held on one day only, Saturday, April 13, 2019. Please save the date, as no other auditions will take place- no exceptions. On this day, the auditions will start early in the morning and will continue through the afternoon as needed. Sign-up forms will be distributed at a later date. Thank you!
8TH GRADE HIGH SCHOOL RECOMMENDATIONS : A TWO WEEK PROCESS
SML High School Recommendation forms are available in the School Office. There is a $5.00 processing fee for each High School Recommendation request. Please allow enough time for two aspects of the recommendations: (1) our junior high teachers strive to write a thoughtful and thorough recommendation for each student; and (2) the Office staff pulls, copies, and mails required documents to the high school. We are aware of the high school's important due dates and our goal is to send your recommendation package to the high school. The teachers and the Office Staff need two (2) weeks to process your High School Recommendation in a timely manner.
LOST AND FOUND
All Lost and Found items will be out tomorrow Wednesday, January 30th and Thursday, January 31st in the center courtyard.
The Snack Shack will be open EVERYDAY AFTER SCHOOL from 3:00 -3:45 p.m. We sell Drinks, Food, Snacks and more!! Please help support our 8th graders going on the Washington D.C. trip. We are located outside the Gym underneath the stairs.
If your child brings a medical note from either a parent or physician restricting them from P.E. or sports, it is very important that students bring the note to the Office first thing in the morning. It is important for the Office to know if there are health issues at the beginning of the school day.
