November tuition is now due. Tuition may be paid in the School Office with a check or cash. If you will be using monthly Day Care this month it can be paid with your tuition. You may also schedule bill pay through your bank. Please note that the 10th is a Sunday. Your payment will be considered late after 4:00 p.m. on November 8th. Tuition paid on November 12th, or later, will be charged a $15.00 late payment fee.
SML BOOSTER MEETING – THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7th at 8:30 a.m.
All parents/guardians are invited to attend our monthly Booster Club meeting this Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room. You will hear important updates about our Silent Auction. The Auction Committee Chairs, Glory Hammes and Winnie Lim Takesue, will explain where they need help in preparing for the event up until and including the day of the event. There may be a small task that you can take on that will earn you Family Commitment Hours. Please stop by for coffee and pastries this coming Thursday morning. Bring your Family Commitment card with you.

There will be a Used Uniform Sale today, Tuesday, November 5th after school until 3:45 p.m.in the Fellowship Hall. Shirts are $5. Sweaters and jackets are $10. We accept cash and check only. · Sponsors Receive Auction Tickets! Your sponsorship of the Auction starting at the $500 Lion level entitles you to two (2) tickets. The $1,000 Bronze Sponsorship entitles you to four (4) tickets; the $1,500 Silver Sponsorship entitles you to six (6) tickets; the $2,500 Gold Sponsorship entitles you to eight (8) tickets; and a $5,000 Platinum Sponsorship entitles you to ten (10) tickets. You may also sponsor the auction at the $100 and $250 levels for recognition.
· 8th Graders – Earn Community Service Hours at the Auction! We need 8th Graders to work for the Booster Club at the Silent Auction. In return, you will earn Community Service Hours. The only requirement is that at least one of your parents must purchase a Silent Auction ticket and be in attendance for the entire event. Using an iPad, you will sell raffle tickets, refill beverage dispensers, help guests find their table, and you must clean up after the event. You will be under the direction of Ms. Marti Rendon. We will feed you an early dinner before the event starts at 5:00 p.m. If your parent(s) have purchased a Silent Auction ticket and you want to volunteer, please email Ms. Kubasek at email@example.com. Drop by the school office to see various sample sizes of both t-shirts, the pull-over sweatshirt, and the tote bag. Ensure that your child can participate in the drama classroom competition on Wednesday, April 1, where we'll see which class has the highest percentage of students wearing "The Lion King” t-shirts and sweatshirts. The K-4th and 5th-8th classes with the most participation will win front row seats for the matinee shows on Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2. UPCOMING FOOD DRIVE – WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20th & RELAXED DRESS DAY
Every student who brings in a minimum of three (3) food items may come to school that day in Relaxed Dress on Wednesday, November 20th . This is our chance as a community to help people in need. What do we need the most? First, check the expiration dates. Secondly, do not choose anything in a glass jar because we cannot accept those donations. Super important. Then, we need cereal, canned tuna, canned meats, refried pinto beans, spaghetti sauce, canned vegetables, peanut butter and dry pasta. *Parents, do you need Family Commitment Hours? We need drivers to the Action Food Pantry in West Covina that day. You too can have relaxed dress! Just kidding. We do need help so please call the School Office to volunteer as a driver.
8th GRADE SNACK SHACK PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!
Is your 8th grader going on the 8th Grade East Coast trip? Would you like to offset the cost? The 8th Grade trip Snack Shack Fundraising is officially underway and runs from November 12, 2019 through March 27, 2020. Adults are needed to man the Shack Shack from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. each day. Students also have the opportunity to work and earn funds. Please note the Snack Shack cannot open on any given day unless we have 2 ADULTS signed up to work.
