FOOD DRIVE TOMORROW– WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20th & RELAXED DRESS DAY

Every student who brings in a minimum of three (3) food items may come to school in Relaxed Dress tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20th . This is our chance as a community to help people in need. What do we need the most? First, check the expiration dates. Secondly, do not choose anything in a glass jar because we cannot accept those donations. Super important. What do we need the most? We need cereal, canned tuna, canned meats, refried pinto beans, spaghetti sauce, canned vegetables, peanut butter, and dry pasta.

ORDER YOUR “LION KING” MERCHANDISE NOW!

"The Lion King" t-shirts, sweatshirts, and tote bags are now available to pre-order! Drop by the School Office to see various sample sizes of both t-shirts, the pull-over sweatshirt, and the tote bag. Ensure that your child can participate in the drama classroom competition on Wednesday, April 1, where we'll see which class has the highest percentage of students wearing "The Lion King” t-shirts and sweatshirts. The K-4th and 5th-8th classes with the most participation will win front row seats for the matinee shows on Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2. Order forms are included in the weekly family emails and in the office.

ATTENTION: THERE WILL BE NO DRAMA ITEMS FOR SALE “OFFTHE-RACK” THIS YEAR, SO PRE-ORDER YOURS NOW! All merchandise will be delivered in January 2020. Thank you for your support of the St. Mark's Youth Theatre!

 

8TH GRADE FUNDRAISER MOVIE NIGHT – DECEMBER 6TH

Tickets are now on sale before and after school every day for this fun event. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

 

SNACK SHACK IS NOW OPEN AFTER SCHOOL 8th GRADE SNACK SHACK PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!

Is your 8th grader going on the 8th Grade East Coast trip? Would you like to offset the cost? The 8th Grade Trip Snack Shack Fundraising is officially underway and runs from November 12, 2019 through March 27, 2020. Adults are needed to man the Shack Shack from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. each day. Students also have the opportunity to work and earn funds. Please note the Snack Shack cannot open on any given day unless we have 2 ADULTS signed up to work. SCRIP

The holidays are rapidly approaching. Get a head start on shopping and stop by the Scrip Room to purchase or place an order. Don’t run out of time to get the things you need while fulfilling your mandatory Scrip obligation. Please be reminded that if you are placing an order, it takes approximately two weeks to process that order. Thank you! Scrip Hours Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.

 

7th GRADE CATALINA TRIP: PARENT INFORMATION MEETING

The 7th grade Catalina trip meeting will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in Ms. Curtis’ classroom (Room 32, Scott Hall) at 7:15 AM and 7:00 PM. Both meetings cover the same material and should last about 30 minutes.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Anyone interested in being a chaperone for the trip MUST personally attend one of these meetings. The trip is April 27-May 1, 2020.

 

SML WINTER HOST FAMILES NEEDED

"Spend your winter with Korean students for 3 and 7 weeks"

Jan, 11th - Feb. 1st 2020 (3 weeks)

Jan. 11th - Feb. 28th 2020 (7 weeks)

Host families are needed to provide room and board for Korean students from ages 10 to 15. Students will be attending school Monday – Friday with field trips on Saturdays Become a host family to share your love and give a wonderful, exciting experience to these exceptional students.

STUDENTS MUST BRING REUSABLE WATER CONTAINERS TO SCHOOL

Please remember to send your students to school with a reusable water container. We have several refilling stations around school dispensing cold water. Let’s set an example of reducing our use of plastic water bottles.
